The name "Strait" Christian Church, comes from the passage of scripture in Matthew 7:13 (strait (KJV)-grk. sten-os: narrow passage), where Christ instructed his followers to enter, through Him. Therefore, we, the members of SCC endeavor to live our lives governed by the word of God through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. As you view the website pages, you will also be able view the various areas of ministry that we're engaged in. Again, welcome and thank you for checking us out; let us know if we can be of service to you in anyway. Our focus scripture is Hebrews 1:9-"since you love doing what is right and despise that which is wrong, God has enabled you with the ability to get results with joy above all your associates" (Pstr. Johnny's paraphrase).
The purpose for the existence of Strait Christian Church is to reach the lost for Christ and under-gird every disciple through the ministry of the Word of God until they develop into the image of Christ as a mature believer.
The mission will be accomplished by every believer becoming responsible for their personal growth and development as they hunger and thirst after the Lord's righteousness, thereby being filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. As a thriving part of the Body of Christ, Strait Christian Church has and will continue to show God's love to the world by means of personal and corporate evangelism; feeding the needy, clothing the poor, providing innovative ways of ministry to the youth, and tending to the needs of the widow(er). We will also continue to network with other Christian ministries so that we can enhance each other. As the Church continues to transition, we will seek guidance from the Holy Spirit to incorporate new areas of ministry as the need arises and expand the physical building to accommodate those needs until the Lord returns.
